Is there any way to keep my AROTC scholarship if I come up positive for steroids? Is there a way to appeal it?

I just got a urinalysis done, and am afraid that it might come up positive, if so, is there anything I can do to keep my scholarship. What if I have a doctors diagnosis for androgen deficiency syndrome?

First off, is this just a straight up drug test, or are they testing specifically for steroids? If it is a standard drug test, 99% of the time they only test for weed, cocaine, heroine and methamphetamines. If they are testing for steroids and you have a prescription for them to treat your androgen deficiency you will be fine. If you just have a diagnosis but are self medicating, you are likely in some trouble.

it depends if its prescribed or not (which im assuming they are not or you wouldnt be worried about it)

i'd say hope for the best, if they DO bring it up

try and get the doctor approval... but don't lie to them.

its better to be straight up then to lie and have them find out, which they will.

if you have no other problems they need to waive, you may get lucky.
